Photography & Graphic Design Internship
We are looking for a Photography + Graphic Design Intern for the 2024 DOOR Foundation Residency Programme, running from September to October at the Hembrugterrein - Zaandam. Responsibilities are as follows: Photography documentation of the residency and public programmes (including assisting with light). Graphic design assignments - this includes, but is not limited to: experimenting with archive and exhibition material design, creation of social media content. Overall assistance in the development of the residency programme including social media. What do we offer: During this internship, one will be working in a dynamic and international environment, with artists and teams coming from a variety of different backgrounds. The participant will be able to acquire skills such as affinity working with artists, social media management, customer presentation, teamwork, as well as a very practical and creative sense related to running a residency program. Furthermore, the intern will learn how to create photography documentation of performances, and how to document artistic practices. The selected intern will also gain substantive knowledge and familiarity with the curatorial theme of ‘Choreomania — Bodily Excess, Collective Unrest’. Internship allowance available and workload negotiable (minimum two days a week). Eligibility: - Applicants must be enrolled at/or a recent graduate of a HBO, WO study programme in the Netherlands. - The required availability is from August 26th - November 26th. - This internship is geared towards applicants residing in proximity to Zandaam. Artist Liaison & Residency Coordination Internship
We are looking for an Artist Liaison + Residency Coordination Intern for the 2024 DOOR Foundation Residency Programme, running from September to October at the Hembrugterrein - Zaandam. Responsibilities: Assisting the curatorial and production team with the daily activities of the residency Consulting and observing the development of the project Assisting with schedule planning - in direct contact with residents Studio management assistance Overall assistance in the development of the residency programme. What do we offer: During this internship, one will be working in a dynamic and international environment, with artists and teams coming from a variety of different backgrounds. The participant will be able to acquire skills such as affinity working with artists, general artist liaison, venue operation management, teamwork, as well as a very practical and creative sense related to running a residency program. The selected intern will also gain substantive knowledge and familiarity with the curatorial theme of ‘Choreomania — Bodily Excess, Collective Unrest’. Internship allowance available and workload negotiable (minimum two days a week).
