About The Event
ART INSTALLATION | FILM PREMIERE | PERFORMANCE | DJ SET
Manuela Benaim explores states of impermanence, transitional bodies and queerness through a series of deconstructed, wearable sculptures, which constitute the foundation of the exhibition.
Embracing the fragility of bodies, a momentary expression of source creation is draped in an aleatory human costume. A hyper-realistic bodily collage transcends into a manifestation of fluidity. Despite glitches, a collision of immortalised bodies forms a ritual of collectiveness, mutualism, and biodiversity.
Through this event, Manuela Benaim welcomes visitors to gather and immerse in a riotous state of existential flux, a process of becoming and evolving.
The show concludes a 5-month long residency programme at DOOR Foundation.
